this was originally painted by *ephebe. he gave me the courtesy permission to finish his idiomasticality check it out to see the differences.
I actually didn't do much, and many parts are untouched, especially since they were very well done so far by him. I just couldn't stand to see those unfinished parts within the eye-candy parts. however, all praise are belong to Ephebe, check out his gallery.
I got it lieing around for a very long time and I've promised to do this finish for a long time as well, so here it is eventually. there are bits that still could need a revise, but I feel enough is enough.
by the way, I find that guy's face on the right side looks like a school mate of mine: Timo Jahnke, check out these pictures: [link] [link]

they're quite funny and are some impressions of our 'abi' parties (mostly all you can drink parties, which may explain some odd looking pictures).
there's things I dont like and things I do. The face on the far left is really great, as well as the clouds in the middle. I like the way you made the faces melting. very good job on that. the things i dont like are the pen'ed in lines on the left (they look too sharp) and the smooth over blended green coming from his eye (kind of the opposite problem from the lines). But overall its a cool picture and I'm surprised it hasn't gotten more views.
mh, that's kind of embarrassing for me, but everything you mentioned only referred to the parts I mostly left untouched you can see the original by ~ ephebe here [link]
I know agree with you about that reflection part in the middle and the melting of faces, that's why I left them like they were. I also know what you mean by those lines being too sharp, they've been placed by ~ephebe (I guess they're vectors or sth like that) from the beginning as well, but I didn't want to change them much or at all, as I didn't find them that bothering.
those "roots" coming out of his eye were also a part I wanted to change from the beginning, but I couldn't come up with anything new or a big improvement of it.
still, on the one hand I'm just as surprised as you about the lack of attention it received, on the other hand I'm pretty much used to it, since most of my non-portrait pictures get any views or comments at all.
thanks a lot for your comment, it's always a pleasure to read them
